Right out of high school I packed my bags and came to Los Angeles to pursue a film degree at the Art Institute. My love growing up has always been with a camera so naturally I loved photography and video cameras. While in school I really wanted to extend my reach, beyond with my hands so that was when I bought my first jib, it was only an eight foot jib at the time but in school we had many projects that needed such a great tool. From there, I learned the traits of the camera world and then I was off to the wonderful world of being on set. For the years to come I would become known as the jib guy but I never thought I could keep stretching the limits and now my reach is about fifty feet. From the moment I became a jib operator, it was love at first swing.
